PlusMermaids participates, or may participate, in affiliate marketing programs.
This means that some links on our Website may be affiliate links.
If you click an affiliate link and subsequently make a qualifying purchase, PlusMermaids may receive a commission from the retailer or affiliate network.
What Does This Mean for You?
In most cases, using an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay.
The retailer or affiliate network may compensate PlusMermaids for referring customers.
Affiliate relationships help us pay for website hosting, content creation, research, technology, and other operating costs.
Our Editorial Independence
We aim to provide fashion information and recommendations that are useful to our readers.
An affiliate relationship does not mean that we guarantee a product’s quality, suitability, availability, or performance.
We may feature products because they are relevant to an article, trend, styling idea, or reader interest.
However, readers should always conduct their own research and review the retailer’s current product information before purchasing.
Clear Disclosure
When an article, recommendation, product feature, or other content contains an affiliate relationship, we may include a disclosure such as:
Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. If you purchase something through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
We may also use shorter disclosures near individual links where appropriate.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission recommends that affiliate relationships be disclosed clearly and conspicuously and that disclosures be placed close enough to the recommendation or affiliate link for consumers to understand the relationship.
An affiliate disclosure should therefore not exist only on this page. Where appropriate, it should also appear within the relevant article, product recommendation, social post, video, or other endorsement.
Retailers and Affiliate Networks
PlusMermaids may work with one or more retailers, affiliate networks, or advertising partners.
Examples may include fashion retailers, marketplaces, affiliate networks, and other commercial partners.
The specific programs used by PlusMermaids may change over time.
Each retailer or affiliate network has its own terms, privacy practices, return policies, and conditions.
Product Prices and Availability
Prices, discounts, sizes, colors, inventory, shipping costs, and other product information may change at any time.
Any price or product information shown on PlusMermaids should be considered informational and may not reflect the current information on the retailer’s website.
Always check the retailer’s website before completing a purchase.
No Additional Cost
Unless specifically stated otherwise, clicking an affiliate link should not add an affiliate fee to the price you pay.
The commission is generally paid by the retailer or affiliate network.
